Hornbjarg from Iceland Illustrated Map on Vimeo.

Shot on a 3 day trip to Hornvík and Hornbjarg, in the Westfjords of Iceland, in august 2013. This area is really remote, it takes a 2 hour boatride to get there, and the nearest road is more than 150 kilometers away. But it´s so worth all the effort of getting there, this place is pure magic!!! We´re already planning another trip there next summer.

The purpose of the trip was to photograph some new locations for the online edition of our Iceland Illustrated Map, which is a handdrawn, 3d-ish, terrain map of Iceland. We might be adding some videos to the map in the future, but currently there are a little over 200 photos from various parts of the country geo-located on the online edition. The map can be found at icelandillustrated.com and this particular location can be seen on the map at icelandillustrated.com/?l=194

Alaska The Nutrient Cycle from Paul Klaver on Vimeo.

Once they enter fresh water chum salmon stop feeding and morph into an aggressive creature intent only on mating. After spawning, they die and their bodies become a source of nutrients for everything in the forest and sea.

Very special thanks to Lynn Schooler, who without I could not have made this short. Special thanks to Richard Nelson, Hank Lentfer, Riley Woodford and Henk Meeuwsen for providing additional sounds.

To Lynn & Michio, whose stories and adventures inspired me to come to Alaska.

Brighton from Public Record on Vimeo.

A hybrid music video/documentary for the highly-emotional and wholly original debut single BRIGHTON by Alagoas (alagoas.us).

It is an uplifting love story featuring our friends Lincoln Fishman and Hilary Costa. They’re a young couple who abandon their burgeoning careers in New York in order to start a farm and build a life for themselves in community-supported agriculture. But just as they begin to hit their stride, the grim onset of cancer threatens to topple their dream.

The video is comprised entirely of footage from our work-in-progress documentary WE LIVE OUTSIDE.
